parenting 101 – part 2 update
so yeah…
the sheriffs went by, apparently its dirty and needs to be cleaned, but its not unsafe for kids…which means that he cleaned up in the 12 hours that it took for them to get there…so now Steven is coming to get her…
we contacted the local sheriffs department…they cannot do anything for Nona…in fact, since Steven told the cops that i was refusing to give Nona to him, and that she was a runaway (???), then if i was in their area, they would have picked her up and taken her to the local childrens home…
*sigh*
so Steven is supposed to be here in less than 30min to pick her up…he wants to talk to her (finally) at his house, and he will take her to school tomorrow then pick her up after school…
i am angry that this is what it has taken for things to change for them…
i am angry that he has lied to the authorities instead of being honest about what he agreed to…
i am angry that her mom has not done anything to this point (but she has plans to call tmrw)…
i am angry that he refused to just talk to us, instead of calling the cops…
i am angry that he is making this bigger than it should be…
i am angry that the people who say they care about these kids, are slow to show it…
i am angry that he is choosing to do this, instead of choosing a less dramatic way…

i’m sorry that, like in most cases, it seems that when you try to help someone out, all you get is sh*t for it.
But i’m glad you helped her, even a little bit.
Man hard times for this teen. We have been where you are you want to help, but the parents intercede and things become ugly and the only one who is hurt is the one who needs the help the most. You do lots of good things for many M, hopefully the father/mother will wake up and let her decide what is best for her.
